Fishing by clean Carinthian Waters
Carinthia is well known for it´s biodiversity and quiet fishing waters. Lake Muster-See with its superb water quality – 1. 8 km length and 800 metres wide – offers the best conditions for demanding fishermen. Six more lakes in the surroundings make the region of Muster-See to one of the most beautiful areas of the country.
The high art of fly fishing can also be practised or even learned. In addition to the Lakes rivers such as the river Drau, the Drau reservoir, are the river Gurk, Vellach and creeks of the Karawanken mountains.
The Savinja in Slovenia, which rises in the Logar Valley is very popular and easily accessible via the ridge of Seeberg-Saddle – border crossing pavličevo sedlo.
